I DID NOT MAKE OR COMPILE THESE DLLS! THE OggVorbis SOURCE CODE IS (C) COPYRIGHT 1994-2002 by the Xiph.Org Foundation (http://www.xiph.org/). I FOUND THE DLLS AT http://www.rarewares.org/ogg.html!
These DLLs are newer versions of the ones that come with the HEK (v1.0.0.1). If you've tried to compile permutations or music into OGG tags, you've noticed that, first, tool randomly exceptions for no reason when attempting to compress the second permutation. Then, if and when you finally get the tags compiled, the music may have crackling or popping in some spots, no matter what quality or bitrate you compile it with.
I've tested these on two pieces of music that had the crackling. Tool did not complain about compressing the permutations, and the sound had no audible crackling, if there was any at all.
TO INSTALL: Simply drop the four DLL files in this archive into the Halo Custom Edition install folder, but make sure Sapien, Guerilla/Kornman00, or Tool is not running, otherwise the DLL's will not copy. Simply replace all four files, but back them up, just in case.

Halo 2 teleporters! Tags! Released!
Well, after many requests about the tags, figured it was time to release these.
Originally worked on my Nitrousoxide, I've totally redone the Halo 2 teleporter bitmaps and shaders, and have made my own variations on them. As you can see... they turned out quite nicely. Also.. these work on low-end graphics cards, with very little impact on FPS! They appear almost exactly the same as on high-end cards, although one map was removed from the shader (the "dust" effect).
But wait! How do you use these tags? There's a certain trick;
First, extract this archive DIRECTLY into your Halo Custom Edition folder, make sure to overwrite any existing tags. They will automatically be placed in the proper locations.
The scenery tags you will be using are located in "tags\scenery\h2teleporter".
When placing these in Sapien, you must place TWO scenery objects in the exact same location; make one of them the "base" of your choice, and the other the "h2_teleporter_exit" of your choice. The bases and teleporters are named as such;

A few things to remember and know before using this Lanucher
1. I don't take any responsibility of what these programs do to your maps or tags. Or even your computer. The programs shouldn't harm anything in anyway, but just in case...BACKUP YOUR DATA!!!
2. This is not a Microsoft\Bungie\GB approved software piece. They do not support it, or probably even like it (or me now, GB may, but I doubt MS\Bungie do).
3. Whats Does this thing do:
Allows you to:
Run Radiosity
Compile Jms files to scenarios
Write your Own Scripts in it
Compile Bitmaps
Compile Models
Compile COllision Geometry
Compile ANimations
Compile Physics
Also it allows you to compile your map to play in ce
Other Features
Runs Sapien, Guerilla, And Halo Ce from the Launcher

To load the map, make sure you have console enabled, and when you get to the UI, Press the "~" Key and type;
"map_name c10 "
If you leave off the difficulty option, it will simply load up into the Regular difficulty level. When the game ends, however, you will need to load another map that way (Such as bloodgulch, you would use "sv_map bloodgulch slayer") or simply quit out of the game.
Or.. if you have a replacement UI with the Single player selection enabled, you can load from there, however there's a trick to get it to work.
You must play through the map once, using the "map_name c10" command, before you are able to select it in the main menu. This is due to you not being able to complete the previous levels before it. Once you finish it once, though, you can use the UI to make your selections, resume checkpoints, etc.
If you quit and then reload the map through "map_name c10", it will automatically resume you at your last checkpoint.
Enjoy! This is the result of boredom, and what it can do ;p
Props to Steelix for his wonderful HEK+.
(Unfortunately, I have to protect the map, due to it containing H2CE Effects. Also, a known bug is the alpha on the electricity missing.)

To use: Drop all files in this archive into your Halo Custom Edition folder, and replace and existing files with these new ones. To use the sound converter, double click 2.exe and follow the on screen prompts. Also comes with easy to follow instructions
After reading many useful, but also conflicting tutorials on creating halo sounds using tool, this utility kicks-butt hands down. It is very easy to use as well. I could not find the application anywhere - but finally did, and thought it would be more widely accessable if halomaps had it listed as well. Why use a tutorial on using tool for sounds at all?
It has not occured to most tutorial creators that although their machine, their configuration and their skill they could make a sound very easily - that THOUSANDS have tried and failed. It was NOT their tutorials that failed, but tool.exe engine itself, and the entire tool base that was failing the users. Yes, many will defend it claiming the rest of us are just stupid . . . . ignore them (they dont know that they ARE stupid insulting nerds who enjoy talking down to us)
I used tool to create sounds and it usually required 90 attempts per sound, having all the codecs, and configuration set thousands of different ways - and they ALL failed, it was only an accident that I was able to actually create sounds myself. Well, this works - so no more countless hours wasted to do something so easy (as the converter makes it appear to be).

Error checking is one of the harder parts of getting a map to compile correctly. If you don't know how to fix the errors in 3ds, you will never be able to play on your map. Errors in tool compilation are the barrier between 3ds MAX and (Guerilla and Sapien). This is a 3 part series split up for length of the videos. All together the videos are about an hour long... which is around the most time you should spend fixing modeling errors in any map for Halo CE. Maps with over 300 errors generally mean you are modeling incorrectly and should develop a different style of creating your maps. I've seen over 2000+ errors on a map before and just trashed the map. However, even these kinds of maps can still be salvaged. It takes around 1 hour of debug/error checking to fix maybe 120 or so errors. So choose your time wisely. I hope watching this tutorial enables you to get more maps out that wouldn't before... because of errors. Many of the cool things we do in maps don't make it because of errors, however I have developed a method or style of looking for them that I show you in this tutorial that never fail me. Let's just say I have spent probably more time debugging and error correcting in maps than I have actually making them. In this process I have learned correct modeling skills and hope you will too. Also look for my other video on Optimizing... It will help you "get" target welding, selection welding, and what optimizing actually is if you don't know.
The model used in this video was made by {NcS}~Fu ... Clayton. We were playing on that map the same night I finished the tutorials. It's cool and comming out soon. It will have a different name as well.... lol. Also I made several mistakes in the tutorial I hope you laugh as well... I did when I went back and watched it. I am also sorry about saying um too much... It is hard to think on the fly and talk and explain what is going on or what I am looking for at every waking moment throughout the video, and the last thing I have time for is correct grammer. The video is realistic in that I never looked at the errors we fixed together before hand. So bear with the um's. lol.
Things to watch for and error correction techniques.
1.) Open Edges... - One big triangle touching many smaller triangles (by edge not by corners).
2.) CANT SEEM TO FIND THE ERROR - Hide surrounding faces and either look for...
a:) backfacing triangles (1 or two triangles drawn with the normals
facing outward instead of inward towards the board (just delete them)).
b:) uncheck ignore backfacing and select "thin air" near the problem
areas. You will sometimes grab a transparent line which 3ds treats as
a triangle or face. Watch for these they are common and 3ds doesn't
even show verts for them. The first time I found one I questioned it's
existence. Now If I can't figure out what is wrong with the area it is
the first thing I check for. They drove me crazy now I'm just used to
them and straight out delete them. (Hours of time here not knowing...)
3.) Look for overlapping triangles... They will show up glitchy looking and flashy in 3ds. They flicker and you can find them easiest by selecting one of the faces and looking for the other faces appearence through the face you have selected. If this happens delete one of the faces, and either draw a new face correctly in its place (counter-clockwise) or vertex weld to close the gap. (It may be fine to leave it alone if there are no open-edges.)
4.) When dealing with open-edges... Vertex weld to optimise if possible and avoid creating new faces. If optimization can't be done. Select the largest face on the problem edge, delete it and redraw smaller triangles in its place.
5.) (Not shown in this tutorial) - A single triangle can have at most 3 triangles touching at "EDGES". Not talking about "BY VERTICE"... we can have many triangles touching this way sense they usually lie on the same plane. However If you find that you have more than two planes intersecting at an edge or connected at a single edge, it is more than likely an error and Halo can't process the collision geometry for those during runtime (in-game).
6.) ladders and special material groups do not apply to the sealed world rules (water, fog, etc.) so error correction with these is usually done by fixing the texture, not the model.
P.S. Dont be afraid to optimize... you usually fix errors in the process... watch my tutorial on optimizing as well.
Hope you enojoy my tutorial.
Thanks for watching,

Instructions:
All you need to do is go to your profile settings and go to 'Change Name'. Startup this program and then type/paste your characters into the textbox and it will then be done, you can also press the 'Profile Name' label if it doesn't go automatically. That's pretty much it, press accept and you have your new name.
Unrar it to "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\tags\"
1.Open your tags\characters\cyborg\cyborg.model_animation in Guerilla.
2.Under Units select crouch in the drop box.
3.scroll down to weapons, and select unarmed.
4.Scroll down to weapon types and enter "un" in the box that reads "label".
5.Scroll Back up to Units and select stand.
6. Repeat steps 3 and 4
NOTE: U MUST HaVE IT SET AS A STARTING WEAPON!
To do this, open the scenerio U are currently working with (ie. tags\levels\test\tutorial\tutorial.scenerio)
Scroll down until U see "Starting Equipment"(if this is blank click Add), Click the 3 dots on the side of the box that reads item collection 1,2,3 ect..
Select the "unarmed.item_collection" save and compile!
Now then installation is complete and you can add the gun as all the other guns in Halo.
I also included the .max files in the "max files" folder, so u can improve the animations...I know there not the best :p

Notes: These are WAV files I made for use with custom maps if anyone is tired of the usual Halo 1 or Halo 2 voice samples and is too lazy or sucks at making their own voice samples with good voice acting. Like the Shotgun Replacement Sounds I released from a game I snagged them from and then cleaned up to fit the Halo Universe needs, these files need tagging and are for use in replacing the old boring sounds with something a bit different but great overall. I obviously do not know how to use the HEK so I did the best I could to just get something into the Community for others to use. If you use them then all I ask is that you give me credit where credit is due for using my voice. I do what I do for fun and its nice to be recognized if possible but is not mandatory because I'll keep doing what I like doing regardless of the glory.

Import any piece of geometry from any gbxmodel tag
Import model with perfect UVW coordinates and material ID's
Setup the max material library for the model's shaders
Import any model's nodes and markers with correct position and rotation
Import biped nodes as bone objects
Import vertex weights for a fully-rigged model

What It Does...
This program will simplify the task of creating a server configuration file for your dedicated server.
Maps...
The maps that are displayed in the folder are from the original halo. If you have downloaded any custom maps you can add them to the text file so that they will be displayed in the list. The new update now allows you to append any maps you have downloaded to your computer, so that you can host custom maps as well without having to type them out yourself.
Gametypes...
The text files includes the original maps and game types for the original halo. If you have created your own gametypes you will need to open the gametypes text file and add your gametype name, which you created in halo. Please note this must be the same as the one in halo in order for it to work properly. The next version will hopefully find your custom gametypes.
Random Map Generator...
Not sure what maps to host on your dedicated server? Well here is a cleaver little tool that has been introduced into the latest version of the halo server configuration. By allowing you to select the gametypes the tool will randomly select a map from your map list. If you are happy with the selection you can then import it into the maplist, however if you aren’t happy with one or more of the maps that that have been added, you can remove the ones you don't want and then add the maps that you do want. Thanks to [KB] Kaos for the idea, keep them coming!
Advanced Features...
Since the version 1.0.6 some advanced options have come into play on the program, which allows you to toggle between the simple setup commands which is what you see when you start the program, but also some more advanced features like team killing, and banning players.
Web Update...
This new version of the program comes with a built in web update feature. For it to work properly first run the server configuration.exe file, then click on program > check for updates. It will download a small file, which it puts in the application directory, which it then reads from to tell whether it has an update and if so, you have the ability to download the latest version. Cleaver eh? :P
Current Version...
1.0.7
Version History
------------------------------
V1.0.0
- The program was created allowing basic input to allow the user to create a standered halo dedicated server.
v1.0.1
- A message of the day feature was introduced to the program to allow people to enter a custom message for the server.
- The update map list was added so that the custom maps uhe user had on there machine where added to the maplist.txt file.
- The version number was changed to 1.0.1 on the splash screen and the help > about menu.
- The update utility was added so that the user could check for an update, without having to look for the latest version.
v1.0.2 - BETA
- A rcon password option has been created allowing advanced remote control of a dedicated server.
- The load file feature has been added to the configuration menu so that the init.txt can be edited rather then having to be created all over again.
- Some security measures to prevent the program from working in case of the copyright being changed or the program executable. It has also been done to unsure that if the program was to be updated the updater will be able to function correctly.
- The version number was changed to 1.0.2 on the splash screen and the help > about menu.
v1.0.3
- The BETA notes have been put into place and an the file can be downloaded by everyone.
- Some error checking has been improved on the validation of numeric inputs to help avoid the server from crashing from invalied alphabetical letters being typed in.
- The version number on the splash screen now automatically tell the user what version they are running, this is also the same for the information under help > about.
- Added functionality so that the user can choose to save the init.txt file to there desired location, rather then just the halo ce directory.
- The update program has been upgraded to allow future updates to be more streamlined and easier to manage. Some advanced error handling has been setup to help give some better error responces to help diagnose some problems.
v1.0.4
- Fixed a issue where if the user wanted to load a sever configuration file from a specified path, and entered it wrong or the file didn't exist it would cause the program to crash with run time error 53.
- Fixed a issue where the MOTD might not save the text that was entered to the default halo ce directory.
- Fixed a issue where if you click on update maps it will include the .map extention on the end.
- Added a feature to MOTD so that when you have entered the message, it will close down the form, rather then having to manually close it.
- Renamed the label 'Recon' to 'Rcon'
v1.0.5
- Fixed a issue where upon you load a server configuration file from a specified place and it would come up with a message box to say it was successful, then would show an error saying an error had occured. Please note this was a bug in the code and no error had occured.
v1.0.6
- Added an alert to warn you if you attempt to load a file over another file.
- Added shortcut commands to the menu's for easier nagivation.
- Added advanced command into the start menu so that extra commands can be added into the init.txt file. At this point in time if the init.txt file is loaded it will not display some of the commands, a fix is going to hopefully be made in the next version.
- Added in a mode option in the program menu that lets you choose between a simple and advanced setting. If you load the server settings it will automatically input these settings as well. The advanced settings allow you to include extra features such as logging options, contolling team killing etc.
- Fixed an issue where loading from a server configuration file might not display the server name correctly if it had spaces in it.
v1.0.7
- Added a feature when you load message of the day so that when you load the form it will load the message of the day that has previously been written, so that if you want to modify it you don't have to write it all out again.
- Added a feature to the server name box where it will deny any spaces entered. This is so that your server name will not revert to halo if it had any spaces in it which was a problem.
- Added in some extra handling to see if anything has been entered in the server password, or server rcon textbox. If nothing is entered, it will not be included in the server configuration file.
- Added a report bug and feedback option in the help menu. By clicking this it will take you to my website where you can then follow the link on the right hand side of the page under chat, to leave feedback.
- Added in the minimze feature to the main program so that you don't have to have it running on the main desktop all the time.

Hello there. This is my first font creation so if I've violated
every font rule in the book, excuse me. I made it because I
couldn't find a Halo font anywhere on internet. Really all I wanted
to do was to put my name in the logo for fun and ended up making an
entire font. There are two versions, a solid and an outlined. The
outlined version was made to make it easier to create the filleted
effect of the original logo. All letters and standard punctuation
are there along with many others. I also added some alternate
versions of some since I had already drawn them. Two other extras
are also there, the shield from Halo and a 4 piece Halo logo(see
below).
Obviously the font is free. Please do whatever you want with it.
If you like it or find a problem with it drop me a line. If you
would like something added please ask as I only created what I would
normally use.
Halo Specific Extras:
Halo Plate - Alt0231
Halo Logo - Alt0232, Alt0233, Alt0234 and Alt0235
I have created 4 pieces that can be arranged together
to create (generically) the Halo Logo background. They are set as
Alt0232, Alt0233, Alt0234 and Alt0235. They should be placed from
0232 to 0235 back to front (black, dark gray, light gray, medium gray).
However you should have some type of editing program to create the
desired effect.

Story:
A massive Covenant armada was in Slipspace traveling toward the Holy Ring. Nearing their destination, they let their dropships go down to an island to capture and use as a command post. Going toward the surface, the Covenant Dropships encountered mass interference because of the Holy Ring's enormous energy output. All navigation that the armada had was lost. Steering blindly, they tried to keep as straight as they could into the landing zone. None of the ships landed properly and most were killed in the crash. Now the few remaining survivors have to find the human infection and wipe it out. Master Chief and a couple of squads of marines had landed on the same part of the planet only a few hours earlier and were still setting up base when the armada went down. Now Master Cheif and his two squads of marines must fight off the Covenant resistance on the island with the bad news of Covenant Capital Ships circling the island.
Changes:
Added all Covenant AI bots.
Added Marines.
Added crashed covenant ships.
Added Halo 2 Dual SMG's inside each base.
Added a custom energy sword made by me, outside each base.
Added Plasma Claws inside each base.

Description: An update to my map Discovery with a lot of bug fixes. NOTE: For people who already have Discovery, you MUST get this one and REMOVE the other one.
About: After having joined a game hosting my map, i realized that I had completely overlooked a lot of obvious host-client bugs. You might have noticed some vehicles that you coudln't flip or get into, and how the bridge didn't sync for non-host players. That's all been fixed now. Some things that I didn't mention before was that if you're in the Mongoose and you press crouch, it will spew flames that actually burn from its tailpipe. Also, there is one c4 in each base in the area with covie shields.
----------------------------Original Readme-------------------------------
Description: A multiplayer conversion of the bridge area in the level Halo
About: Discovery is a full-blown multiplayer map. It supports all gametypes. It has the classic halo weapons, but with much longer ranges, and the assault rifle's accuracy is improved. The main features of this map are the bridge and the Silver Ghost. The bases are located on either side of the bridge, each with their own control panel to open the bridge. The bridge only stays open for 5 seconds each time, though, so use it wisely. It could be used to end the life of a flag carrier.... :P. The Silver Ghosts have twice as much top speed as well as acceleration, and they can boost into the air with the jump button. This map is best played with any gametype except free-for-all race. Team race works much better. It also plays much better with 8-14 players. On a side note, the map name wouldnt fit without something to discover.....;)

No weapon or vehicle improvements except for a new easter egg. There is new mummy improvements, though (not really improvements for your survival!).
-The mummies are 7x more aggresive, berserk like crazy, and can notice you from around corners and stuff like that.
-Melee attacks are NOT fatal, but with these new features you have more to worry about. ^^
-They can melee-jump from REALLY (100's of feet) high and land near you, and their melee jump range is 9999 world units plus their volocity is really fast doing so.
-They hold weak, but still deadly in numbers, pistols.
-They attack from long distances as they would short, making no delay attacking by walking to you.
-This is an additional feature and isn't an improvement really; they glow red and speak gargled zombie noises, for appearence.

the title is kinda self explanatory, it's a set of backpack weapons tags for the halo 2 biped using original weapons. just add the tags in the characters folder and compile the script into your map and your all set. there aren't really any problems except that the plasma rifle looks kinda screwed up (the textures are funky), other than that, they're pretty much finished.
Special thanks to:
CtrlAltDestroy, i used his script as a template, and he's smart as hell too.
Jahrain, for rigging that Halo2 biped and i guess he did those textures too (they have his name on them, literally) and i also learned alot from his rigging tuts and his maps. Thanks for keeping those open source

Directions:
-----------------------
Just place the folders that are in the “Goose Tags” folder over your "tags" folder and let it right over everything, (this will NOT affect any of your tags that you already have)

I was looking for high quality, realistic sounding sounds and thought I'd search the sound directories of some games online to see if I could fina any of high quality. I have very high standards for sound. I found this and a couple other sounds I have also submitted and thankfully they were in WAV format, which meant unadulterated quality. The tag maker can OGG compress these for optimal quality and Halo CE can down-sample them to meet the lower-end needs as well as use the original mapping.
Why didn't I make tags? Because I don't know how to. I want to learn though, so I'm asking YOU, the l33t h4x0r, to go to town and have fun. I don't know the name of the original source game these came from but I renamed the file names to reflect what I thought they best sounded like. Just give me thanks when you make your TAG files and if you know the source they came from, please credit them as well where credit is due.

Place a plane on the Z axis in 3ds max at -25600 then move the land down to look right with the water. when put in game no vehicle will be able to go below the plane that was placed at -25600 which makes the vehicle seem to look like its floating when it really isnt. Now this boat will be able to drive on land also unless you go into globals and change friction of dirt to 0.003 or something really small "
dont do negative numbers because that will cause your vehicle to just speed up when it touches dirt." And ta ******* da you got a boat that floats.
